Based in Kelowna BC, Solid Rock Video produces high-end videos for clients all across Canada.
We keep storytelling at the heart of everything we do. Our ability to tell captivating and inspiring stories is what sets us apart. With almost a decade of experience in TV news, telling stories of importance to Canadians every day, owner Curtis Allen has a wealth of knowledge in the elements required to weave together a powerful story, and has immense experience in interviewing people in a way that makes them feel comfortable, free to share their story. We work closely with our clients to produce engaging films that evoke emotion. Whether it’s laughter, tears or just feeling inspired, the power video has over people’s emotions is incredible.
As a company we have extensive knowledge in the world of documentary filmmaking. In 2016 we followed a group of young hockey players as they traveled to Mexico and experienced a change in perspective after witnessing the immense poverty in rural parts of the country. In 2017, Curtis traveled to Ethiopia to document the emotional meeting of a young cancer survivor and the African girl her family had supported financially for years. In 2018 we were selected to tell the story of Round Lake Treatment Centre and the people who have gone through their program as a part of their 40th Anniversary. This project took place over a year, combined more than a dozen interviews and over 50 hours of footage. In the end we produced a 24 minute film that is currently playing on TV, showcasing the life transformation of the people brave enough to face their addictions.
We love telling stories.
